We work directly with window manufacturers Paradigm for our vinyl windows and Jeld-Wen for wood windows.
Windows Types
Vinyl Windows - Vinyl replacement windows are the most popular styles available on the market due to efficiency and economical cost. Vinyl windows are built structurally strong and are capable of great energy savings that can be credited to the medium to high R-Values (an indication of heat resistance). A higher R-value will indicate greater heat resistance and higher energy efficiency, which will in-turn reduce heating and cooling costs.
Of all the available window styles, vinyl windows are an affordable alternative. The price of vinyl windows will vary greatly depending on independent factors such as glass and sash options or style of window being used. Like any other window type, vinyl windows can be modified to accommodate any style, shape, or size.
With benefits such as low costs, high energy efficiency, and ease of maintenance, vinyl windows by Paradigm are our #1 choice for replacement windows.
Wood Windows – For residential homeowners, wood windows are a very popular choice thanks to its beautiful looks and practicality. Wood replacement windows can be found in a variety of finishes ranging from stain grade, primed, and prefinished white.
Of the available window replacement types, wood windows are more energy efficient than metal based windows due to their better insulation properties but do not compare to vinyl or fiberglass in that category. Wood windows also do not condensate as easy as aluminum windows.
Wood windows are a good match for homes since it allows for easy paint application. However, minor upkeep is required since exposure to the sun can cause chipping and rotting of the paint. Don’t let that defer you as a properly maintained wood window can look great for years to come.
Jeld-Wen windows also come with their AuraLast Wood technology that offers protection from wood rotting, water saturation, and termites. By acting as a grain sealant, it allows for a beautiful, even stain finish. For more information on AuraLast Wood technology please refer to this educational video.
